Director

Endridge Chapani

Welcome to the PaHukama National Youth Oryxes Foundation, where we empower the next generation to lead with purpose and drive sustainable development across Zimbabwe. As Director, I am proud to lead an organization that has evolved into a dynamic hub for action, moving beyond advocacy to deliver high-impact, grassroots programming that meets the urgent challenges of our time.

Our mission is now more robust than ever, featuring strengthened in-school initiatives that cultivate leadership from a young age, alongside a powerful presence in climate action and environmental management through our nutrition gardens and greening campaigns. We stand as a firm bulwark against social ills, leading the charge in drug and substance abuse activism to protect the health and future of our peers.

Grounded in inclusivity and integrity, we provide the vocational skills and mental fortitude necessary for young people to thrive in a modern economy. I invite every young person who dreams of a better tomorrow to join us today; your voice, your energy, and your hands are the tools we need to build a resilient nation.

By becoming a part of the Oryxes family, you are not just joining an organization — you are joining a movement dedicated to self-development, community service, and the pursuit of excellence. Together, we can turn potential into power and create a legacy of progress that leaves no one behind.

Our Three Councils

PaHukama operates through three main councils, each driving a distinct pillar of youth empowerment.

Council 1

Governance & Participation

This initiative focuses on empowering young people to take an active role in governance and decision-making by increasing their representation within local and national structures. By providing comprehensive leadership and advocacy training, the program equips youth with the capacity to lead accountable initiatives and champion inclusive, participatory practices. Ultimately, it fosters a political environment where youth-led advocacy ensures leaders remain transparent and responsive to the next generation.

Council 2

SDGs & Livelihood

Centers on empowering youth to become a dynamic force for sustainable development and long-term livelihoods by aligning projects with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By focusing on economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, and essential skills development, the program fosters environmental conservation, climate action, and self-reliance among young people. Through a culture of innovation and collaboration, it equips the next generation to drive social and environmental progress while securing their own economic futures.

Council 3

Children's Rights & Responsibilities

Dedicated to promoting and protecting the rights and well-being of children and young people through multifaceted support and advocacy. It actively works to raise awareness about child rights while implementing strategies to prevent abuse, exploitation, and neglect in all forms. By supporting essential programs, the project ensures access to quality education and healthcare, creating a solid foundation for every child's development. Furthermore, it encourages young people to act as positive change-makers and advocates for systemic policies that consistently prioritize the best interests and rights of children at every level.
